I guess by now many people would have heard about the disastrous vintage conditions in 2014 here on the Mornington Peninsula and in some other areas. Unseasonably cold wet weather hit our vineyard right throughout flowering in November and December.

Fruit set was a disaster and as a result we got very few if any bunches of grapes in either the Pinot or the Chardonnay. I eventually made the decision not to pick any grapes at all as there would not have been enough to make even one barrel of wine.

The bad news is that we are now out of wine, having sold all the 2013 wines. The good news is that we had a wonderful crop in 2015 and these wines will be bottled later this year and hopefully released by Christmas.
